Since January, I've been mentally prepared to quit from my JUG and from the NetBeans Dream Team, as well as not renewing my consulting activities with Oracle Italy, in case things go in a direction that I don't like. So, it's not a kind of decision that I don't understand in general. It's just that if I ever do that, it will be motivated by something that Oracle is doing really bad, and it would be decided after the situation has been evaluated in the proper way and for the proper amount of time (and after discussing with the other involved people, where relevant).
So far, there are no reasons for do that, in my perspective (being the JUG thing the one with some doubts, because I don't have fully understood how the relationship with Oracle is going to change - to me the JUG is a _really_open_thing_, where people even discuss technologies that are owned by a competitor, such as Flesh/Flex or Android). - -- Fabrizio Giudici - Java Architect, Project Manager Tidalwave s.a.s. - "We make Java work.
