You misunderstood, I guess.

JavaFX is alive and kicking, and has been announced (for the third
year in a row!) at JavaOne.

JavaFX *Script* on the other hand, that's probably old hat now. It
might find a life in the community, there's nothing stopping the
language from continuing on, but due to relatively low usage numbers
(through no fault of the language!) I'm not optimistic.
