This is one approach. The other is the Visage project, by Stephen Chin
et al. They forked the JavaFX Script as a starter and will perform some
improvements to the language. Visage won't be bound to JavaFX, but will
be usable with Swing or Android, as far as I understand with a code
generator approach (I think Stephen reads this and will eventually
correct if I'm wrong). Yes, this has the potential of making Visage more
popular than JavaFX Script. Releasing JavaFX Script + JavaFX runtime as
a monolith, Sun made the recurrent "sell-you-everything-or-nothing"
approach that already did e.g. Entity EBJs 2.0, later fixed by JPA.
