Yikes! I should have introduced myself. It's sort of rude to show up here and ask for abstracts, plus you got the wrong idea of who I was.
So, I'm a software developer who happens to also organize this conference (codemash). I own a software consulting company in Ann Arbor, with my co-founder, Bill Wagner. I suck at GUI design, but I enjoy parallel and distributed processing. My current language of choice is Scala, but I have done some work in C# and LINQ and I really like LINQ. I'm also a Java Posse Roundup attendee X 4. Until this year, I was the only woman who participated at the Roundup. You can hear me lament my transition from developer to manager in "Engineering vs. Management". On a good day, I still write code. Like today. I used to participate in this group a bit more, but I'm crazy busy between trying to run the company, stay current in our industry, and with my 2 small children. Fortunately, I have a husband who rocks both as a husband and as a dad. It's hard to have 2 careers + parenting between us, but we're managing so far. Anyhow, hope to meet some of you at CodeMash ... and/or at the Roundup.
