Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think anybody has to ask. The
Apache License gives permission to fork under any license, right? For
that matter since Android is Apache-licensed, if that's what Oracle
was after, then why don't they just fork it?
Because I don't think they are searching for a fork - they want to control it as a part of Java.
