With your last paragraph are you attempting to distance yourself from previous comments ? A dozen of so responses seem to say that GPUs and other specialised devices are the answer to help make bytecode execution faster, something a uber hosting vm would need. However its quite obvious that such statements are at the very least made in ignorance without any thought to the practical application of those devices at all. Sure we dont know what around tomorrow but im pretty confident the only way to execute bytecode today is on a general cpu from intel and other vendors. When you start giving silly responses and say GPUs will speed up bytecode, it just makes all your other statements sound like hyperbole, rather than that made by someone with a reasonable understanding of computing, hardware and software in general.
