I expect this to be fixed soon. Unfortunately, Devoxx's tweet wall seems to have been taken down, but I tried the IE9 test drive site. With Chrome 9 and the --enable-accelerated-2d-canvas flag, on the fish tank demo<http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/Performance/FishIETank/Default.html>, I'm getting nearly 60fps with 500 fish and 40fps with 1000 fish. Without the flag, last time I tried a few weeks ago, it was around 3-4 fps. The speed reading demo<http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/Performance/SpeedReading/Default.html>went from 15fps to 60. While it's not an apples-to-apples comparison, I'm pretty sure the tweet wall would have been fine with hardware acceleration turned on.
