Okay.. there's a lot of anger about the intrusiveness ... the
examination system they've been following was already overly
intrusive.  e.g. why the flark were we required to take off our shoes?

Anyway... the whole body scanners will mean an advantage for many
people in my situation

I have metal rods in my legs due to a traffic accident nearly 30 yrs
ago that broke my legs very badly.  Almost every time I go through
airport screening I set off the metal detectors.  I've been getting
patdowns routinely for the whole time ... over 10 years.

This new situation is going to be a breath of fresh air.  They'll see
the medical implants, recognize the truth, and let me go through
without bothering me and my brethren who have medical implants.
