Just to clarify to everyone, this isn't about 911. 911 was a terrorist that took control of an airplane. The resulting way to stop that was locked steel doors that prevent access to the cockpit.
Its not about Metal detectors which are to prevent guns and knife weapons. Not about the 'No liquids policy' which is to prevent chemical bombs. Its about the backscatter/X-Ray devices which are about preventing underwear/bra bombers (mainly). Its really about privacy, and health, and because if the X-Ray didn't douse you with radiation, and the backscatter didn't produce nudie pics of people then no one would have an issue with them. Can't a Java programmer just write an algorithm to blur the 'human features' of the scan, like they do with faces on streetview? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Java Posse" group.
