Yep, which has been standard operating procedure for years.

I'm just saying that in the scale of things 98% of Apple owners won't
care about this story. Look at the much larger ballyhooed issue of no
Flash on iDevices, and its still that way, and people are still buying
iDevices by the millions. One SSD manufacturer has the significance of
a single blade of grass.

I also think Apple does crappy things, but so has Microsoft, so has
Google, so has <insert any big name company here>.  Not an excuse,
just the way it is.
