I only gave a quick look at the article when I posted it (the related
news was brought to my attention by a member of JUG Lugano), but I
supposed this is different from the others. I think it's reasonable to
agree with the writer, that this is not just Myriad vs Oracle, but
there's Google in the background (note, in fact, that the lawsuit refers
to practices rooted in the past, that Sun was weaker than Oracle,
nevertheless AFAIU Myriad never sued Sun). My take is that the direct
Google vs Oracle lawsuit is going bad for Google, so they had to react
enlarging the front of the war (I remember that this August many thought
that Google would counter-suit, but it didn't happen so far). That's why
it's interesting.
