JSR-292 doesn't have *mass* appeal. Neither diamond operator nor strings in
switch are going to make it worthwhile for corporations to switch.

I hate to sound like Reinier, but this is a little different from what you
originally said (and I guess counts as a prediction).

Originally, you predicted it would be "underwhelming", which we already
know, as Java 7 has few if any features that will have the masses of
corporations and developers clamouring for it.
