I don't actually consider that FUD, not if you look around you and a little in the rear-mirror. Btw. he conveniently leaves out best- practice/bottom-up Java such as Android, Spring and Eclipse which is where IMHO Java is interesting (even if it may not technically be officially Oracle sanctioned Java).
