You know, rather than just enjoy his name value and geek cred, Google getting Dr. Gosling to get Go moving could be an intriguingly disruptive idea. Go seems like the only compiled language with any new thought and effort behind it (*), which could be valuable on the device. Maybe Go could become the go-to JNI language on Android? There are worse ways to use a genius.
