You know, rather than just enjoy his name value and geek cred, Google
getting Dr. Gosling to get Go moving could be an intriguingly
disruptive idea. Go seems like the only compiled language with any new
thought and effort behind it (*), which could be valuable on the
device. Maybe Go could become the go-to JNI language on Android? There
are worse ways to use a genius.

(* - I'm sure someone will come up with a counterexample, and yes I
know about Apple's "blocks" in C and freaking love them. Still, I'd
love to see Go regain its initial buzz. Hell, I'd love to see someone
hack Go support into the iPhone SDK, if only for the rich irony).
