And yet, more people got introduced to programming and more corporate software got written in VB than in any other language. You lacked MVC, threads, OO etc. but it was a darn great prototyping language. Sadly Delphi, the natural heir to the RAD throne, got overthrown by the language that claimed to run equally bad everywhere. ;)
