Hi Alex Glad to have caused strife :-) . You neglected to mention where you are located. I know of quite a few different locations around where it is quite possible to get a job working in Scala, for example Boston has a pretty lively Scala scene going, and we have done training courses in St Louis, Ann Arbor, Pennsylvania and a bunch of other places. If you are serious about looking, my best advice is to find out if there is a Scala developer group nearby, and show up for a meeting there. Certainly at BASE (the Bay Area Scala Enthusiasts), hooking up Scala developers with Scala jobs is a part of the meetings, and I imagine it will be the same elsewhere.
Glad you like Scala. I am in the middle of learning Haskell as a way of rounding out my functional programming skills :-).
