Even if you were targetting say a Transformer Prime with a keyboard doc, the UI metaphors really want to be different.

I don't expect that you heavily develop code with the tablet specific UI paradigms. The keyboard touch screen has got limits; but there are tablets, such as the Asus Prime Transformer, that can be connected to a keyboard with a touchpad. There Swing would work decently.
