I like all those things too, but I wonder at what point does it make sense to start over? It seems like it might be easier to make a new java-ish language with all the goodies if you're not trying to keep up the pretense that this is still the same language. I'm not going to get on a soapbox for this, but it seems like it might make more sense than trying to glue all this stuff onto the existing language.
