I don't know how accurate that is, but it certainly says nothing about
whether Google is on a crusade against Java.

By the way, I created the Java Gmail project so I know a thing or two about
it, and while I have some emotional attachment to it, I certainly can't
blame a company for moving away from Java ME. The faster we leave this
monstrosity behind, the better.
