So, why not releasing it to the open source? When Adobe decided that e.g.
Flash was no more a source of profit, but a source of expenses, they
donated it to Apache. At least this makes it possible for the community of
users to have a smooth transition, or to find their own way. As I said, I
wouldn't call this an attack to Java, but a scarce consideration of users.
