I have tried for about an hour, but I cannot get Javac to compile what I have in jedit. I do have javac.exe installed in the bin directory, but when I go to the Run prompt and type the directions as they are show in the lab, it does not work. If I have a .java file saved in my "MyJavaPograms" folder, how do I get javac to compile it in Windows 2000? Are the commands different than in XP or Vista? Thank you so much for anyone that responds, I greatly appreciate the help.
