My first inclination was to use TinyMCE also, it really looks pretty.
But I ran into two problems that ultimately stopped me. One is their
loading mechanism makes loading on demand impossible. At least it did
for me. The second one drove me crazy for a week or two, and I finally
gave up. When I load the editor in Firefox served from my server, the
buttons get setup wrong. The wrong image is shown. This did not happen
when the files were served from another server, or viewed with any other
browser. No one could tell me what to look for or why my server served
the files in a way that Firefox didn't like. I finally gave up.

If you have any ideas, I would love to get it figured out so I can use
TinyMCE for my project.
