I've tried it with 1.0 and works like a charm. My windows do have
fade/appear effects.

constructor in his PWC construction, as far as I can see from his JS calls.
However, his main PWC div container of his generated HTML clearly show a
style opacity set to .9 (<div style="opacity: .9"> abbreviated here).

How does he set the opacity .9 style attribute then? I don't know, yet.
