Err, I think in IE 6 (not sure about 7), opacity isn't applied to pngs... Try converting them

Ok, I got opacity to make my entire window transparent. The problem now is that in IE7, I get black edges and my south border is missing. In Firefox it looks fine. I'm using png images.
