Hey all, I'm also a junior in High School and I LIVE to throw the javelin. The program at my high school has traditionally been very strong and has gotten even better. But I feel that the coaching staff has taught me about all that they can, so I've been searching around everywhere I can to learn more. My off season program consists of pyramid lifting (bench, pull downs, cleans, leg press, butterflies and cleans) along with a mixture of medicine ball exercises, overspeed training (taken from the Jav web page), Turbo Jav throwing and plyometrics. I'm wondering if I'm covering all the bases here? Any other tips for off season training? Also, in teh new MF Track catalog, I saw Tom Petranoff's new javelin's (don't remember what' they're called right now) Ah, here they are...the Legend javelins. If anyone's seen this, youknow what i'm talking about. I need a new jav, i've outgrown my 60m jav and need to move up. The problem is I dont' know which jav is the right one for me.
