Hi Joe
I have coached javelin for about 6 years and have seen shoulder and upper
arm injuries but never a sore wrist.
Ice is best for immediate relief but what is the cause?
Questions:
1. Is it something else you also do which is causing it?
2. How often do you throw in a week and for how long?
3. What weight of javelin do you use?
4. How far do you throw?
5.Do you make every throw as long as possible or do you do a lot of drills
with 2-3 big throws at the end?
5. Do you have a coach or partner who can watch your wrist action?
6.Does the javelin fly properly? If not, please describe the flight.
7.What kind of grip do you use?
Answers to these may give the javelin cyberteam an idea as to what is
causing it.
