Donnie Parrett asked:

Is there some way that I can put a password on my desktop so that I
can stop this from happening?

Sure there is. Go into Control Panel and select User Accounts. From
there you can password protect your own account and create a guest
account or accounts for others to use. Here's a link to Microsoft's
documentation on user accounts in Windows XP:

http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/usercpl_overview.mspx?mfr=true

Microsoft claim this documentation is accessible; I hope it proves to be
so.
