Hi Sharon;

I have never used the pro edition of AVG however, I can tell you as an AVG
user, I have never had a virus and, it runs and updates itself automatically
every day and, I don't have to do anything to it.

Hope this helps.

Anthony

  David, the tech person who comes to help me with my computer is coming on
  Sunday, and at that time I will be deciding between the free AVG and the
  professional. Any reasons to go with the professional version? Obviously,
  you have found some.
