Hi Suzy,

do you have collapsed messages on by any chance?

When my settings somehow got set that way I would get a similar message 
asking if I really wanted to delete all messages in the thread or something 
like that. It did not happen with all messages.

Something of a stab in the dark but any alarm in a fire and all that. <GRIN>
