WABI development was discontinued in December 1997: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Application_Binary_Interface It's been replaced by the WINE API (and its commercial variants Cedega and CrossOver) and virtualization software like VMWare and Qemu. Personally, I use VMWare to run Windows on top of Ubuntu Linux, and WINE to run a few select applications which work okay with WINE.
