You cannot use Jaws directly with Linux. You can use a Windows computer with Jaws as a terminal to a computer running under Linux. Linux and UNIX like MAC OS and Windows is an operating system. It is the environment which is loaded first and gives a computer the intelligence to execute other programmes like Jaws or Word or Winamp. These programmes require specific instructions to the operating system which is why they cannot run natively on different operating systems. Some programmes have been written to run under different operating systems, there are versions of WordPerfect for Windows, WordPerfect for ?DOS, WordPerfect for CP/M and WordPerfect for Linux and I think even for the MAC. There is an early version of Jaws for DOS and for various versions of Windows but not for Linux. Hopefully this clarifies.
