Good evening, Need some quick advice. I have on board sound in my Acer computer and the chip or whatever went bad on the board last night thus NO SOUND. I have available slots to add a sound card. What good basic ones are folks using? I also listen to music and have a great speaker system complete with subwoofer so I'd like something decent but not top of the line. It has been years since I've used one but I remember Soundblaster used to be good. Is there any other options like an external sound device that could be used and plugged into a USB port?
