That's normal since the PC uses background processes and applications and
when is starts or closes them you hear those sounds. It happened the same
way to me and that's why I disabled this type of sounds.

Original message:

I went into my control panel to the sounds and audio page and created a
sound for opening a program
and also for closing a program. For opening a program it makes a little da
day sound and for
closing the program it makes a little da doe sound. What I am finding is
happening, about every 3
or 4 minutes i am hearing the da day da doe sound rapidly in concession. It
is as though something
opens and closes all at once. I am not doing anything to cause this sound
to occur. It doesn't
matter if I am in Outlook or on my desktop or where I am at on the computer,
this keeps happening
about every 3 or 4 minutes. Can someone give me any pointers on why this is
happening?

See ya,
Scooter
