Which OS are you using Don? I have similar event sounds and I never have this happening. Either you are running an application or process that automatically launches another process that only runs for a very short time, your OS deploys such a short term process or you have a virus or spyware on your PC. It's hard to know for certain which it is.
Do you have anti-virus and spyware- detection software on your PC and do you use it? If so, then that may not be the problem provided you are using up-to-date versions of that software (and more than one spyware detection and cleanup program). ---------------- Bill Gallik E-Mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] - "A sense of duty is useful in work, but offensive in personal relations. For opening a program it makes a little da day sound and for closing the program it makes a little da doe sound. What I am finding is happening, about every 3 or 4 minutes i am hearing the da day da doe sound rapidly in concession. It is as though something opens and closes all at once. I am not doing anything to cause this sound to occur. It doesn't matter if I am in Outlook or on my desktop or where I am at on the computer, this keeps happening about every 3 or 4 minutes. Can someone give me any pointers on why this is happening?
