Rick, Checked the tips & tricks and there are only two things under the AVG heading , neither of which addressed this issue.
Here is what it does. When I'm in the general outlook windo and scroll down through my mail it says attachment for each message. I know some other folks here have had this issue in the past and someone did come up with a way to fix it.
