Hi Lenny, I'd suggest doing a Jaws repair for one thing, that wayyou get 
back original settings, maybe it might be a pain to configure things 
agai,but try with a fresh screen so to speak?  Just a thought, I'm in the 
midst of my own computer Hell here, Dell charged m "visa" when I didn't say 
I have one, and now i find out another order I ave waiting is back ordered, 
I'm not happy with much today.  Hope I help somewhat,
