Hi,
The Norton Removal Tool will remove Norton products from your system.
It is difficult to remove by using the add/remove programs option in control
panel. I say this because even after you have removed the Norton product,
there is stuff that was not removed when Norton was uninstalled like for
example, Symantec Live update, which is used to update it's virus
definitions.
The tool will remove all of this stuff.
However, it can not be used independently without sighted assistance
because it requires you to type in numbers. It's one of those captia things
that is not accessible (this is true for the tool on the programs page as
well.)
Hope this helps,
Jeffrey

Subject: [JAWS-Users] nnorton removal tool;

good morning all;

I'm posting a question for a friend.

My friend's Norton subscription runs out fairly soon,
now, if she uses the;
Norton removal tool, which is found on the programs page, does she just run
the program? I have never used Norton. I have been told, it's a difficult
program to remove.
otherwards, does she need to uninstall from add/remove first? or can she
just run the tool.

in advance, I thank you for all the responses.
