Joe, set your connection settings to "never dial my default connection". If that doesn't work, make sure that work offline is unchecked from within the file menu of IE. Hope that helps. Well, no good reason, at least. I am not sure why, but for the past several weeks, if I tab into the address bar to type in a web site, google.com for example, if I mistype the address, I am instantly shuttled to a screen offering me connection options since I have been declared to be working offline. This never happened before, and I have typed plenty of wrong URLs in the past. Anybody know why this might be happening? Since it seems my computer's default setting for the internet is a dial-up connection (though I am on DSL), I have to shut down the browser and relaunch it every time this occurs. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks. I am running Internet Explorer with Jaws 7 on one laptop, Jaws 8 with IE on the other.
