Carlene, I always use the forms mode so that part is understood. Steve's idea of alt plus down arrow doesn't work. So I think I will have to take Flore's suggestion and add the jaws 7.01 patch. While I was using I E 6, the patch caused trouble with jaws 7 so I went back to just 7. However, now I think I'll have to try it again. Thanks to all. marilyn
