Well for my part the benefit would be every time I test out new links and 
return to the main index it always kicks me back to the top of the page. Now 
not a major issue if I'm only testing a couple of them out but when it's 
like 5 or 10 some times it gets a bit tiresome. So far as code is concerned 
it's no more work then what I've already been doing all along.

Does that change help you with space or other considerations David?
If so, then by all means, do what you must.  On the other hand, if there is
no appreciable improvement to be anticipated by making that change, you may
be inadvertently complicating the use of the site for some computer
operators.
