You can use the Shift+Tab and the Tab to move from left to right across the cells in a row, and then it will move down to the first cell in the next row. As you are doing this, as you land in the next cell, everything in that cell is selected and if you accidentally press a key, you will replace everything in that cell with the character you accidentally pressed. If this happens, immediately do a Control+z to undo what you did.
A safer way and sometimes more efficient way to navigate a table is to use Control+Alt+ any of the 4 arrow keys. All this does is move your cursor into the next cell in the direction of the arrow key you pressed, and JAWS will read the contents of the cell. The down side is that when you get to the end of a row, you have to navigate back to the beginning of the next row if that is what you want to read. Additional table commands include Control+Alt+ home or end or page up or page down. There are others, but these are the ones that I use most often. Let me know if you need additional assistance.
