Also, if you remove shared components, you won't be able to merge
settings from an older version of JAWS.

I'll have to disagree with you on this.  It may not cause any problems
with your system, but Removing the shared components can cause big
problems with Jaws.

Doesn't matter whether you remove the shared files or not, but to be
safer, you should say no.  Leaving them there, as the dialog itself
states, will not damage your system.
