If you're using CDex:
1. Press F11 to open the convert dialogue box.
2. With your JAWS cursor, find the button that says, "... button". For some
reason you cannot tab to this. I wish they'd fix this. Anyhow once you've
found that, do a left mouse click.
3. Browse to the folder where your files are stored, and press enter.
4. Tab around, and set the options accordingly. I have it set so that it
deletes the original files, converts them to true MP3 files and not RIF-WAV,
and keeps the original directory structure, which are the default settings I
believe.
5. If you wish, tab to and activate the select all button if you want all
the files in that folder, including files in any subfolders, to be
converted.
6. Tab to and activate the convert button.
7. When done, you'll hear your computer beep. Your files should now be
converted.
Hope that helps.

Thanks, but I have both of those programs. Unfortunately I am having no luck
in using either! This what I have done so far:
copy cd using window media to my music folder in my documents. There wasn't
any choice for either cdex or goldwave. I have looked at the menus (using
jaws curser, as I can't get any other speech) and I can not find how to
access the folder in my music to convert the files to MP3.
I have looked at the jaws users website & nothing I have read has improved
my knowledge of how to do this . I will be the first to admit that I am
clueless & you may say, obviously; but could someone please be very
descriptive & lead me down the path step by step to using either of these
program in order to convert audio files to MP3.
Thank you, thank you.

Hello. Use goldwave or CDEX. Google for both as I don't have urls at hand at
the moment. or maybe they are on the jaws users site.

Hi,
I am trying to copy an audio book onto my computer in order to copy it onto
the victor stream. I as yet can not figure out how to save or change the
.wma files as mp3. Of course I would like to use JAWS friendly programs.
Any & all suggestions appreciated.
Thanks,
Cathie
