Dear carlene

You tube can be awkward in my experience. For some reason Jaws seems to find
it difficult to navigate to search results. I do not know if this is your
problem. Here is what I do - I also use a program completely accessible to
jaws called Free You tube to mp3 converter.

Searching on You tube is no problem. Navigating to the search results are
difficult on my setup.

I normally find that using Jaws cursor to navigate to the first search
result and clicking once in a blank area of the page solves this problem.
Make sure you do not click on a link. . . I then navigate the search results
by pressing G for graphics link. This jumps you to add video. Cursoring
down a few lines then lands jaws on a link to the video which opens on my
machine by pressing enter in the normal way.

Once I am on the video page and I can hear it begin to play I press F6 to
navigate to the address bar and press control c to copy the link. I then
press alt left arrow to go back. Press F6 twice to get back into search
results. Pressing G will jump you to the next result - press down a couple
of lines to read the next result and so on.

I then paste this link into a fantastic program called
Free You tube to Mp3 converter which saves the video as a mp3 on the root
drive of your computer. Normally this is called "Frominternet1.mp3. You can
then remame this and file in explorer and move this to your music directory.

I do this because I find the controls on you tube videos completely
inaccessible but as an mp3 I can control playback perfectly well. Also on
you tube the sound is halting and interrupted on my internet link. Playback
as an mp3 is completely smooth however.

Regards

David Griffith

Subject: [JAWS-Users] links not being propery selected

 Hello:

I am having trouble selecting links on certain sites. For example youtube.
I can enjoy one video fine, but when I try to make another selection it
won't play. I have to shut the whole site down and reopen it to hear the
next one. My husband thinks that the curser isn't getting moved, though
JAWS says it is. I am running JFW 7.1.500 and Windows XP. The answer is
probably obvious but I just haven't grasped it. does anybody have any
ideas? Somebody mentioned a set of key strokes to use if JAWS had a focus
issue on web sites, but I can't remember what it was. Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks
