There seems to be something wrong with the help system for MS Office on this computer making me really struggle to figure things out. Maybe this cannot be done but hopefully it can and someone knows how.
In Excel 2000 I want to keep the top column titles fixed and the left row titles fixed. I seem to have figured that out but now I want to move the adjacent block left and right by a fixed number of cells. What I am trying to make happen is a list of times down the left side and days across the top and with a keystroke or mouse dropping get the day information to shift left and right one week at a time. If anyone knows that this can be done I will struggle with the help to find it. better still a description of how would be really nice. All I seem to be able to get out of the Help system is the intro page about how to get help from the Office Assistant and so on, nothing seems to persuade this machine to give up that answer wizard which lets you type in a question. It does work a little better some of the time on the computer at work but I don't have time to play with these ideas there. Apologies if this question is sailing a little close to the edge of "on topic" for this list, I appreciate it to be an arguable point.
