What I think you want is for the Row and Column titles to stay fixed on the screen so that no matter how far left or right you scroll this information is visible (at least for sighted users). If that is what you want it can be done in Excel, I used to do this when I was sighted, but I used the mouse to do it and haven't found the proper menu option yet. But I am still looking. If on the other hand, you do not care if the information is visible or not, but you want JAWS to speak the Row and Column titles then do this: 1 Place your cursor to the left of the first Column title and above the first Row Column. So if your Column titles began in B1 and Row Titles in A2 your cursor should be in A1. 2 Press alt I for the insert menu. 2 Press N for Name. 3 Press D for Define. (this should open a dialog box and put you in an edit field). 4 type "Title" (be sure the T is capital). 5 Press Enter.
Now when you arrow left or right JAWS should say the column title and when you arrow up and down JAWS should say the ROW title. Be sure to save the file after doing this as this information is stored in excel. I hope this works for you. I will keep looking for the way to do this visually. I know it is out there. Let me know if you have any questions. >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 09/24/2007 7:56 PM >>> I don't know for sure that it can!
