If I may be so bold as to enquire... Why don't people just shut the smart tags off.
All you have to do is open up the options dialog box, control+tab to the view menu, although you may not have to do that as I usually land on that tab first, then tab down to where it says smart tags, and uncheck the box. You won't be bothered by those pesky things anymore. Is there a reason why people aren't doing this if it bothers them so much?
