Hello Leonard;

this may be what your looking for;

XP Log-On

This can be accomplished very simply:

1. From the run dialogue, type exactly what you see on the next line exactly
the way you see it:

control userpasswords2

This will open a special dialogue from which you can select your own user
account to log on by default.

 2. You will land on a checkbox that says, Users must enter a user name and
password to use this computer checkbox checked. Leave it checked for now and

tab once.

3. You should hear: Users for this computer: list view administrator
administrator.

4. Arrow down to your name. It should say something like your name and
administrator, like Leonard  administrator.

5. Tab back around to that checkbox that said, users must enter a user name and
password to use this computer, and hit the space bar to uncheck it.

6. Tab to apply and hit the space bar.

7. Then tab to the okay button and hit the space bar!

Your done, your computer should boot up now without having to log in.

Basically you have now told the computer to automatically log you in without
requiring you to type the information in.

  Subject: [JAWS-Users] admin log on screen

  Because David temporarily shut down this list and I am not sure if my post
made it I hope it is not inappropriate to repost my concern. If it is I
apologize. Original message follows:

  I used windows update a couple of months ago to update Windows Xp pro. Since
then I always have to hit the spacebar on the administrator log on, turn off

  computer and log on screen when jaws starts speaking when I boot my computer.
This even happens if I have not performed any tasks for a while and I return

  to let's say to look at email messagesabout an hour later. When I initially
did the update and rebooted the computer so that the updates would take effect
when I was asked

  to enter a password I hit the spacebar without entering any password which I
thought meant that when you turn on your computer it would go right to windows

  like it use to do. I am the administrator and there are no other users on my
computer. Hope I am making sense here. Any thoughts how to change this behavior.
