I thought it has something to do with the screen saver. that's what it soudns 
like to me. Check to see whether yu have the 
computer promp for a password when your screen saver comes up.

isn't there something in tools/options within internet explorer on this very
thing? on the advance page something needs to be unchecked if this is the
area I am thinking of...
