Perry, I have used this feature quite frequently with little problem. Without knowing more about exactly what you are doing, I can't answer specific questions, but have the following suggestions: When importing a delimited text file into Excel, the delimiter, in your case a comma, separates columns. Hard carriage returns separate rows. I don't know what program you are using to generate your text file, but make sure that it isn't automatically putting hard carriage returns in after every 72 characters. This, of course, will really screw up the formatting of your data. Also make sure that there are not any commas in your data other than the delimiters. I never use commas for this purpose just for that reason. I typically use accent mark (`) or tilde (~) because I'm absolutely positive that there are none of these characters in my data. If you're still having trouble, let me know and maybe I can take a look at one of your data files. Darrin
